🍫 Overview: Komuntu 80%
-
Purpose & Purpose
Komuntu 80% was designed in collaboration with 100 individuals across Valrhona’s supply chain—including cocoa producers, suppliers, employees, and customers—to reflect a global community-centred chocolate effort. Its name merges the Esperanto “Komunumo” (community) and the African philosophy “Ubuntu” (“I am because we are”) -
Sustainable Mission
Valrhona committed to donate 100% of profits from Komuntu 80% (from Sept 2022 to Sept 2023) to its cocoa partner communities. Over €234,000 was redistributed for education, health, income diversification, and infrastructure support across various producer nations
