Wholemeal flour (also known as whole wheat flour) is made by milling the entire wheat kernel—including the bran, germ, and endosperm—in the same proportions found naturally in the grain. This preserves more fiber, vitamins, minerals, and oils than refined white flour, which typically contains only the endosperm.
